A printer in Docbox is used to define the characteristics of the job output. This includes everything from the paper size and orientation, to the address position, the envelope type, and the delivery service to be used.
This approach simplifies the choices a user needs to make when printing, and allows an organisation to control access to features such as first or second class delivery and colour printing, helping to manage costs.
Printer Access
When a user logs in to Docbox, either via the dashboard or the Print Driver, they will only have access to their allowed printers. Access is controlled by your organisation.
Printer Configuration
Printers are configured via the Docbox Control Panel.
Each printer can be configured with settings that determine how documents are processed for print. This includes options for stationery, electronic inserts, splitting, and delivery services.
A user can easily check how a printer is configured by using My Docbox > My Printers in the Docbox dashboard. This allows the user to make an informed choice if they have access to multiple printers.
For full details of the available settings, refer to the Printers article in the Control Panel section of this Help Centre.
