A printer in Docbox is used to define the characteristics of the job output. This includes everything from the paper size, to the address position and the delivery service to be utilised.
This approach simplifies the choices the user has to make when printing making Docbox easy to use in daily workflows.
An organisation can configure their print environments to meet their business needs whilst managing costs.
Printer Access
Access to printers is controlled by Active Directory LDAP group.
When a user logs in to Docbox either via dashboard or the Docbox print driver, they will only have access to their allowed printers.
This allows an organisation to control access to features such as 1st class delivery and colour printing thereby controlling costs.
Printer Configuration
Printers are configured via the Docbox Control Panel.
A user can easily check how a printer is configured by using My Docbox > My Printers in the Docbox dashboard. This allows the user to make an informed choice if they have access to multiple printers.
