Certificates

DFA connects to Docbox servers over HTTPS. Where the Docbox server uses a customer-managed TLS certificate, DFA may need to be configured to trust that certificate before it can connect successfully. The Certificates page allows administrators to upload and manage these certificates from within the DFA web interface without requiring a service restart. Navigate to Control Panel > Certificates to view and manage certificates.

You can upload either the Docbox server certificate directly, or the certificate of the authority that issued it.

All certificates that have been added are listed, showing the certificate name, its validity period, and its current status.

Adding a Certificate

To add a new certificate, click New Certificate... to open the Certificate Details panel and complete the following fields.

Field Description
Name A label to identify the certificate.
Certificate PEM The certificate content in PEM format. Paste the certificate text, beginning with -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----.

Click Save to add the certificate. Click Cancel to discard.

Viewing Certificate Details

Selecting a certificate from the list opens the Certificate Details panel, which shows the full certificate information including subject, issuer, validity dates, algorithm, serial number, and SHA-256 thumbprint.

Deleting a Certificate

To remove a certificate, select it from the list and click Delete in the Certificate Details panel.

Certificates are included in the DFA backup. For further information, refer to the Docbox File Agent Control Panel.
