Docbox File Agent Dashboard

DFA has its own dashboard, separate from the Docbox dashboard, for monitoring and managing the files it sends. Because DFA runs unattended, this dashboard is where you go to confirm it's working, spot anything that's stopped, and see what's been sent.

Access the DFA dashboard using a supported browser. The default address is http://localhost:9091/, but contact your local IT team to confirm the correct URL for your environment.

Pipelines

A pipeline is the link between a Source and a Destination: it shows whether files are moving from one to the other as expected, and how much has gone through it. If you only check one thing in DFA day to day, this is it.

Field Description
Source Source label
Destination Destination label
Last Polled Time of last poll. The poll interval is specified in the source definition.
Processing Jobs The number of jobs in the processing queue. This includes jobs with status of pending and accepted.
Successes The number of jobs successfully processed. These are jobs that have been completed.
Failures / Threshold The number of failures and the threshold
Status

This shows the status of the pipeline

  • Online - the pipeline is active
  • Offline - the pipeline is inactive
    • The Active? checkbox on the Source definition has not been selected
  • Stalled -  the pipeline has exceeded the failure threshold specified in the Source definition.

Stalled

Once a pipeline has stalled, no further processing happens in that pipeline until it's restarted. Check the reason for the failure(s) and take appropriate action before restarting.

From the Pipelines screen you can enable or disable the selected pipeline(s), or restart processing for a stalled one. Clicking on a pipeline opens the Details panel, which shows details of any failures and gives you the following actions:

  • Restart processing
  • Clear failures
  • View failed jobs
  • View jobs

Jobs

The Jobs list shows every file DFA has sent, so you can confirm a specific file went through, or check the status of one that hasn't.

Field Description
Job Id Unique identifier assigned by DFA
Folder Name This the source label.
Job Status
  • Waiting - the file has been identified by DFA.
  • Accepted - the file has been accepted and will now be processed
  • Complete - the file has been processed and sent to Docbox.
  • Failed - the job has failed
Date Sent Date and time that DFA sent the job to Docbox
Date Updated Date and time of last update

Click on a row to open the Job Details panel. This shows the name of the file (or files) associated with the job. If the job has failed, the panel also shows the failure reason.
