LDAP Roles

LDAP Roles map Docbox roles to Active Directory groups. When a user logs in via LDAP, Docbox checks their group membership and assigns the corresponding roles automatically. You can access LDAP Roles via Control Panel > System Settings > LDAP Roles.

Only Administrators can access LDAP Roles.

For each role, enter the LDAP distinguished name of the Active Directory group whose members should be assigned that role. Leave a field blank to disable LDAP-based assignment for that role.

Click Save Settings to apply any changes. Click Reset Changes to discard unsaved edits and restore the form to the last saved values.

LDAP Group Mapping

The distinguished name must be entered in full LDAP format — for example, CN=DocboxAdmins,OU=Groups,DC=example,DC=com.
